Upcoming Surrey Stand Up Comedy Shows

With a sensibility that falls somewhere between the library and the locker-room, Katie-Ellen has become a favourite of audiences across Canada and the U.S., including regular appearances on CBC Radio’s The Debaters where she has also worked as a writer and Associate Producer.

Katie-Ellen’s comedy has been featured on CTV, CBC Television, CMT, APTN and OUT-TV, their comedy album Ladyfinger debuted in the top of the charts on iTunes/Apple Music in 2020 and they’ve appeared at major comedy festivals including San Fransisco Sketchfest, JFL Vancouver, Bridgetown and more.

Katie-Ellen is also a 3-time Canadian National Open Water 5k Swimming Champion. That’s unrelated to comedy, but it explains the shoulders. 

Originating in the Belly Room at the legendary Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Roast Battle has spread all over the globe and is finally coming to Yuk Yuks Surrey at Elements Casino. Comics battling Comics, Joke for Joke, and holding nothing back. Come watch an all star lineup of local comedians ripping each other apart for your enjoyment! 

Lori has been a professional stand-up comic for over 20 years. She began her love for comedy in 1988. A bit of a fairytale beginning…while working as a waitress, one of her regulars offered to sponsor her dream of stand-up comedy as a career. Soon after Lori was voted B.C.’s Funniest New Comic and four years later B.C.’s Funniest Woman. Lori has toured all over Canada and the United States, she has graced the stages of Yuk Yuk’s, The Improv, The Laugh Factory and the Comedy Store…just to mention a few. Lori has also made television appearances on CTV, CBC, WTN and The Comedy Network, as well as CBC Radio’s Madly Off In All Directions.
