Nick Beaton

From a blue-collar background, Nick Beaton cuts through the bullshit of an overly bureaucratic society that takes itself way too seriously. Whether it’s done through his opinionated rants, hard-hitting jokes, or his disarming "every man" personality Nick Beaton is a favourite wherever he performs.  He has performed on 4 continents, 7 countries, and over 40 cities.  His run at the Edinburgh Festival received glowing five star reviews, from both “Broadway Baby” and “Three Weeks,” the latter of which described him as having, “enviable confidence, timing, and manner of a comedian with decades of experience beyond his years.”  Nick wrote for the hit show on CTV, Spun Out staring Dave Foley was a panellist on Match Game and was featured on CBC's The Debaters.  He has performed at Montreal’s International Just For Laughs Comedy Festival three times, as well as the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Moncton Comedy Festival, the Sudbury Comedy Festival and the Icebreakers Comedy Festival.  He has received numerous accolades for his comedy, including winning the 2007 Just For Laughs Toronto Home-grown Competition, and being nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards, including one for his comedy special, “Comedy Now!” that aired nationally in Canada. Tara Cannistraci

Tara is an Italian-American stand-up comedian born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She uses her New York upbringing as the foundation for her take on observational comedy. She has taken her talents to stage, television, film & off-Broadway. She wrote for and and was featured on SportsNet New York’s (SNY) “Oh Yeah”. Tara is the co-creator of We Stand Comedy, an LLC that produces live shows and digital content. Tara is a proud member and regular performer at the world famous Friars Club. She produces and performs for fellow Friar Chazz Palminteri’s Child Reach Foundation and tours regionally with Danny Aiello’s Italian Chicks. Martha Chaves

Martha Chaves is a busy comic. Her infectious, candid style, her captivating stage presence, and her gift to relate to a wide range of audiences grant her numerous presentations at clubs, colleges, fundraisers, corporate functions and comedy festivals. Martha is a veteran of multiple Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival, and of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. She has also appeared in the Halifax, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Boston Comedy Festivals, and in the “Marshalls’ Women of Comedy,” in NYC. In Spanish, she’s performed in the Festival Del Humor de Caracol, in Bogotá, Colombia. Her versatile material mixed with her fluency in 4 languages make her an asset to perform for an array of fascinating audiences. For example, the Canadian Peacekeeping Troops (in Alert, Egypt, Israel, and Afghanistan) and The Nobel Women’s Initiative, a delegation of women led by Nobel Peace Prize winners (in Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala). In 2015, Martha warmed up 43,000 people for the 2015 Pan Am Games - Opening Ceremony and in 2016, she hosted the ACTRA Awards, in Toronto.  View Full Bio

Rob Ross

Rob Ross is a sought-after Canadian headlining stand-up comic and accomplished award winning television writer based in Toronto. Performing credits include:  A one hour Comedy Now special on The Comedy Network and CTV, CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival, CBC’s Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs, CTV’s Open Mike and CBC’s 9 O’Clock Show. He was just 24 years old when he did his first nationally televised special COMICS! on CBC. Ross was head writer and creative producer for the popular MTV Canada show MTV Live and was a producer for CBC’s award winning hit series Canada’s Smartest Person. Other credits include CBC’s Still Standing, Rick Mercer Report, Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Over The Rainbow, Royal Canadian Air Farce, Street Cents, The NHL Awards, Gemini Awards and The Junos on CTV.
