Julie Kim is one of Canada’s top stand-up comedians and an international headliner. Over the past decade, Julie has performed at all the major Canadian comedy festivals making multiple televised appearances (l.e.,  the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival). In 2023, Julie made her Australian debut at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, as a top pick by the Australian Arts Review. Julie recently toured across North America with Ronny Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah). Julie’s online videos have amassed nearly 50 million views.

Julie is also a writer and producer, and a Canadian Screen Award winner. Julie has contributed to the writing rooms of Kim’s Convenience, Run the Burbs, and Still Standing. Julie was a producer and writer for Simu Liu (Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as he hosted the 2022 and 2023 Juno Awards.

Julie Kim headlines an amazing night of comedy with an all Asian lineup! Julie has been featured on national television and radio multiple times, with some of the best comedy credits in the country. She recently toured across North America with Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Crazy Rich Asians) and was a writer for Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Kim’s Convenience) as he hosted The Juno Awards in 2022.

This show is part of multi-day events leading up to the 2nd Annual CCYAA Celebrity Classic, to be held July 9th in Toronto at the UofT Goldring Centre. The Celebrity Classic will include an amazing roster of celebrities like Simu Liu, Jeremy Lin, Hasan Minhaj, Ronny Chieng, and many more.
