Rick Currie

Rick Currie is a veteran of the Canadian comedy scene. He has been featured at clubs and corporate events across the country as well as on CTV, The Comedy Network, Sirius XM,  CBC TV and CBC Radio. He’s also appeared at numerous comedy festivals including Just for Laughs, Winnipeg and Halifax. Rick has written for many TV shows including: The Scotiabank Giller Prize, the Canadian Country Music Awards, six national CBC New Years Eve specials and Canada’s 150th birthday celebrations from Parliament Hill. For 8 years he was a staff writer for the CBC TV show “The Rick Mercer Report” where he collected 3 Canadian Screen Awards, wrote a sketch that was filmed on the International Space Station and put words into the mouths of celebrities from Prime Ministers to pop stars. He continues to work with the Rick Mercer team on various projects.
