Special Show
Scott Porteous - Scott is one of Canada's youngest comedy veterans. He’s not even 40 and has already been performing stand-up comedy for nearly 20 years. Some of Scott's accolades include performing at The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, The World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and most recently had his alter-ego featured on Canada's Got Talent. Scott's style of comedy is quick, and quirky, with a hybrid of intelligent and just plain dumb jokes. Scott is very awkward but in a charming way... he thinks. Scott's alter-ego, Herbert Henries, is the one-and-only “Comedy Dangerist” in the world! Most likely because he also invented “Comedy Dangerism”. To put it simply, Herbert performs “Acts of Danger” while telling jokes. Herbert has been in and around comedy for less than a year and has already left his mark on Canadian Comedy. Herbert recently performed in front of the judges at Canada's Got Talent and was told by Howie Mandel that he is "Winnipeg's greatest comedy export". Whether it be by his unique “dangerist-stunts”, his jokes or his awkward yet endearing personality, Herbert Henries is the definition of the phrase “one of a kind”.
Frank Russo - Frank has the unique ability to take the mundane and drag it into the absurd. Having performed in comedy clubs and indie shows across Canada for over 9 years, Frank uses his charm, quick wit and intelligent
humour to connect with audiences from all walks of life. Now based in Calgary, Frank has previously produced and hosted weekly comedy shows in Toronto and Halifax, performed in festivals including Sudbury Laugh Out Loud festival, The World Series of Comedy, The Thunder Bay Comedy Festival, and was a featured act in The Human Condition Cross-Canada Comedy Tour in 2019. Mike Payne - Mike has been a key-player in the Toronto Comedy Scene for 6 years and has toured most of North America and Edinburgh (Scotland). Mike has worked with Yuk Yuks, Absolute Comedy, Rick Bronson’s The Comic Strip and runs his acclaimed monthly show; The Stand-Up Show with Mike Payne at the world famous Comedy Bar. Mike has worked with acclaimed acts including Rick Mercer, Jeremy Hotz, Ali Siddiq, Simon Rakoff, Martha Chaves, Casey Corbin, Jason Rouse, Tyler Morrison and Aaron Berg. Mike has also appeared in festivals including The Cottage Country Comedy Festival, The Dirty Bird Comedy Festival, The Brantford Comedy Festival and was a winner of the Gemini Comedy Festival along side Al Val. Mike is most commonly recognized from his appearance in Burger King’s Impossible Whopper commercial (National Campaign, 2021) as the “that’s pretty good” guy.
